Dunn, NC: Mr. Thomas Harold Marler, age 84, of Layton Avenue, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at UNC Rex Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be 3:00PM-Sunday, June 18, 2023 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Rev. Ron Godwin will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hood’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Newton Grove.
Mr. Marler was born on August 16, 1938 in Johnston County, NC to Luther and Marvel Belle Jackson Marler. He was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Norton; brothers, Charles Marler and Gary Marler; and nephew, Andy Marler. Mr. Marler retired from Ferrell Gas Company in 2001 where he was a L P Gas service technician. He was a member of New Zealand Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church where he served in many capacities. Mr. Marler loved to sing at church and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Faye J. Marler; son, Marty Marler and wife, Ceicla of Dunn; granddaughter, Martina Marler of Dunn; sister-in-law, Fran Marler of Charlotte; several special nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2:00PM to 2:45PM on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to New Zealand Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, P.O. Box 234, Newton Grove, NC 28366.
