Celebration of life for Thomas Gerald Morehead, 35, of West Monroe, will be held at 2 PM Thursday, December 29th, at Griffin Funeral Home on Warren Drive in West Monroe, with Rev. Bo Horne officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Mr. Thomas Morehead was born June 2, 1987, and passed from this life on December 25th, 2022. He was preceded in death by both grandfathers, Gerald R. Morehead and Billy W. Knight. He is survived by his wife, Ariel Eisler; parents, Scotty and Lynette Morehead; brothers, Dr. Benjamin Morehead and Jeffrey Morehead; grandmothers, Beverly Morehead and Edwina Knight; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; a host of friends and his 2 beloved dogs.
Tommy attended West Ouachita High School where he played tenor saxophone in the marching band. He was an honor student all through his education, and scored a 31 on his ACT. Tommy was active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout - a rank only achieved by 3% of all scouts.
Tommy worked as a waiter at Lonestar Steakhouse for a while, before starting a career in I.T. with CenturyLink in Monroe. He loved his I.T. work. He moved to continue I.T. work at Vantage Healthcare in Monroe, where he worked until August 2022.
Tommy married his high school sweetheart, Ariel Eisler, in October of 2020, and they made their home in West Monroe. Tommy and Ariel had a large number of friends, who they shared various nerdy hobbies with. He was a kind, patient, intelligent person with a dry wit who could light up a room with his humor, and he made friends easily wherever he went.
Pallbearers will be: Eric Knight, Adam Knight, Ian Eisler, Brindan Eisler, Devon Knight, Stanley Knight, Brice Knight, and Gus Weems
In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be sent to this charitable organization where Dr. David Jones has stated that he will match any funds donated.
