Thomas Nall Obituary

Thomas "Tom" Nall, 75 of Beardstown, died Monday, August 18, 2025 at Beardstown Health and Rehab.

He was born July 14, 1950, in Bloomington, the son of Charles D. and Josephine McDaniels Nall. He married Sharon Hill on May 3, 1980, in Saybrook, and she survives in Beardstown.

Also surviving are two children, Jennifer Nall and Jonathan Nall (companion Elizabeth Stone), both of Beardstown; one grandson, Gavin of Beardstown; one sister, Jackie Vaughn of Beardstown; a niece, Dawn Curless, and a nephew, Thomas "TJ" Nall, and his four-legged friends, Ollie and Milo. He was preceded in death by his parents a sister, Sharon Trackey and a brother Chuck Nall.

Tom's childhood was shaped by adventure, as he moved from place to place while his father served in the Navy. He graduated from high school in Japan and then followed in his father's footsteps, serving six years in the United States Navy. When he returned home, fate brought him together with his beloved wife, and together they built a life in Beardstown. Tom dedicated three decades to Cargil, now JBS, before retiring in 2016. He found joy in casting a fishing line, watching scary movies, and rooting for the St. Louis Cardinals, win or lose. Above all, Tom treasured every moment spent with his family.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM, Friday, August 22, 2025 at Beardstown City Cemetery, with military honors being conducted by Guthrie-Pierce VFW Post #1239. The family will meet with friends one hour prior to the services at the cemetery. Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown is in charge or arrangements.
