Thomas Carl Peterson

Thomas Carl Peterson, 66, of Dauphin, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital. Born on May 20, 1959, in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son of the late Carl Leroy and Joan Marie (Stanford) Peterson.

Thomas attended high school and later earned his GED before beginning a career as a diesel mechanic. Outside of his career, Thomas was a man of many interests. He enjoyed playing pool, woodworking, and yardscaping, as well as antiquing and finding unique treasures. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family, especially his nephew David and his niece Ginger, who held a special place in his heart.

Thomas will be remembered for his hands-on skills, his easygoing spirit, and the love he shared with those closest to him.

He leaves behind his 3 children, Sheree, Thomas, and Joshua; his grandchildren; his 2 sisters, Linda Poleshuk and Irene Peterson (fiancé, Robert); his nephews, David, Larry, Dylan (wife Bethany), and Zach (wife, Autumn); his only niece, Ginger (husband, Jason); his great-nephews, Mason, Gavin, Maverick, Brantley, Carter, and Dalton; his great-nieces, Chanelle (companion, Alberto), Sharell, Emilia, Delilah, and Evelyn; his great great-nephew, Elikai; niece-in-law, Brenda Morgan; and extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Daniel and James Peterson; and a nephew, John Morgan.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, September 28, 2025, 12PM-3PM at Hagy Park, 1130 Mountain Road, Dauphin, PA 17018.
