Thomas Jason Platt

We are heartbroken to share that Thomas Jason Platt, known to many simply as Tom, passed away on September 2, 2025. He was born on July 23, 1983, in Lansing, Michigan, to Robert and Betty (Hanes) Platt. Tom grew up in the area and proudly graduated from Grand Ledge High School in 2002. For years, Tom worked as a forklift operator at Universal Forest Products, where he was known for his strong work ethic and friendly demeanor. When he wasn't working, you could find him riding his dirt bike and enjoying the great outdoors. He had a talent for creativity, often expressing himself through artistic drawings and various projects. Tom leaves behind a loving family, including his loving wife, Caitlin (Elder), his cherished children, Hunter and Everlee Platt, step-children, James and Carson Hunnicutt, his sister Amanda (Jennifer Feasal) Platt, and his parents Robert and Betty. A private family memorial service to celebrate Tom's life will be held at Holihan-Atkin-Barclay Funeral Home, Grand Ledge.
