Thomas James Pokorny

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Husband, Dad, Papa, and Great Grand Father, Thomas James Pokorny, who passed away July 24th, 2024 at the age of 85. Surrounded by his loving family in his final moments, he was a man of knowledge, a jack of all trades, a pillar of strength, and his absence leaves a void in our hearts no one can fill. He cherished every moment with loved ones and was always supportive of all. Tom served as the District Manager of Powell Valley Rd Water District, until they merged with the City of Portland, then he retired. Tom was also a board member & coach with Meadowland and Centennial Little League. He also was a coach for the 91 School Basketball teams. His passion for hunting, the outdoors, sports, family and his unwavering spirt at all the family's sporting events will forever be remembered and carried with us.
He is survived by his loving wife Nancy Pokorny, his kids Kris Pokorny, Cindy Gillespie, Kelli Jones, Blake Pokorny (deceased) & Pete Harris. His Grand children Katie Gillespie, Kasie Francis, Ashley Clingman, Whitney Fowler, Tyler Stein, Brittany Gillespie, Chayse Gillespie, Brendan Seehaver, Steven Oakes, and Karlie Oakes Abigail Harris and Penelope Harris and 11 great grandchildren.
To commemorate his remarkable life and the memories we cherished, a celebration of life of an incredible man who is deeply loved will be held on August 24th at 3pm at their home in Canby, Oregon.
