Thomas Edward Poole, 85 years of age, left this world for a heavenly destination on May 3, 2025. He was a resident of Nemasket Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Middleboro, MA since January of 2025.
Thomas was born in Fall River, MA to the late Clifford and Mabel Poole. After graduating from Durfee High School he served in the U.S. Air Force for four years in Air Force Police which included a tour in South Korea. However, he called Rhode Island his home, living over 50 years at Meadowlark Mobile Park in Middletown among neighbors and good friends.
After his USAF service he returned home to tend to his ailing parents until their deaths. He worked in various security and investigative careers including the Pinkerton's, Naval Underwater Systems Center, Newport Navy Base, RI; Brock International Security, Bach Security, and Roger Williams University as a campus public safety officer for over 20 years.
Thomas loved his work and didn't retire until his mid-70's. He spent his free time taking long walks and exercising, reading, spending time with friends and family and was a super Celtics fan.
He was known for his mild and laid back demeanor, his humor and stories, gentle and kind nature, and twinkle in his eye when he was about to tell you something humorous.
Thomas was predeceased by his sisters Evelyn Diaz, Mildred Baker, and Ruth Webb.
Thomas leaves a surviving sister, Joan of Palm Beach FL, a nephew and wife Walter (Jerry) and Masako Diaz of Plymouth, MA; niece and husband Carol and Anthony D'Ambrosio of Melrose, MA; niece Candice Macoul Kazantis of Winchester, MA; niece and husband Cindy and John Guillaum of Beaver Creek, OH; niece and husband Darlene and Jeff Schnitter of St, Augustine, FL; and a number of great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, as well as his dear friends from his beloved Meadowlark Mobile Park neighborhood.
