Thomas Glen Ragsdale, a resident of Ada, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on December 23, 2024 in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 77. Tom was born on October 11, 1947 in Santa Paula, California to Beryl Edwin Ragsdale and Alice Ruth (Wilkins) Ragsdale.
Tom grew up in California living in Ventura and later in Victorville. He attended Victor Valley High School where he graduated in 1966. Following high school, Tom entered the US Army and faithfully served until his honorable discharge in 1973. He served one tour of duty in Vietnam. He became a truck driver and a skilled mechanic during his military service career. Tom drove for numerous companies throughout his life, ending his driving career after leasing on with Greentree Transportation for twenty plus years, retiring in 2020. Tom was a longtime member of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel and last attended The Refuge. Most of all, Tom was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed by the many people who knew and loved him.
Tom was married to Myra Ross (Bunton) Shaw on September 23, 1989 in Sacramento, California. They remained happily enjoined for 35 years until his death.
He was preceded in death by his father, Beryl E Ragsdale and his mother, Alice Ruth (Wilkins) Ragsdale; his brother, Terry Ragsdale; and first wife, Marion (Bole) Ragsdale.
Tom is survived by his wife Myra Ragsdale of the home in Ada; a daughter, Tracy Page and husband Danny of Lake Havasu City, AZ; a son, Thomas L. Ragsdale and wife Toni of Kingsville, TX; and by a granddaughter, Kylie Page, also of Lake Havasu City, AZ.; by other extended family and many good friends.
Following cremation, a memorial service for Tom will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 10:00 am at The Refuge Ada Four Square Church, 1001 Tipton Terrace, Ada, OK.
