Thomas Reddington

Thomas Joseph Reddington, 84, of LaGrange, NY, passed away in his home from cancer on April 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving children.
Tom was born in New York City to Thomas and Florence Savage on January 24, 1941. His older sisters, Joan (Jerry) Wosewick, Ann "Mickey" Billings Duffy (William, Gene), predeceased him. He married Joanne Pekar on April 8, 1961, and together they raised six children.
Tom attended Holy Cross Parochial School, Iona College, and graduated from Fordham University. Known for his adventurous spirit, he always welcomed new experiences. He was an avid reader and enjoyed listening to music, particularly Irish music. His passion for exploration and knowledge was evident through his extensive travels both within the U.S. and internationally.
Professionally, Tom dedicated 49 years to IBM as a financial systems analyst, where he was respected for his precision and insight. In his personal life, Tom was a beloved son, brother, cousin, husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
If you were ever in need, Tom was always there. No child's or grandchild's sporting event was too cold, too hot, or too far to attend. Tom was an avid New York Giants and Rangers fan-but no matter who was playing, he was always watching.
Tom is survived by his children Jeanne Lloyd (Fred, deceased), Christine Robinson (Dane), Stephen Reddington (Fran), Mary Ann Caldwell (Jeff), and his grandchildren: Peder (Mary Nicole), Catherine, and Anna Thompson; James and Charlotte Lloyd; Matthew, Ryan (Julia), Zach, and Patrick (Kassandra, fiancée) Robinson; Christina Reddington; and Owen and Shayna Caldwell. Also, great-grandchildren Eli, Colton, Josie, and Weston.
Tom joins in Heaven his wife Joanne, his oldest daughter Susan Thompson, and his son Thomas. He leaves behind many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Thomas lived his Catholic faith and was a moral compass through his example. He was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church. His legacy will be cherished and remembered through the stories of his adventures and the lives he touched. His family and friends will miss his vibrant spirit and enduring love.
Services will be held Wednesday 6-8 pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home in Poughkeepsie and Thursday 10:30am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church Poughkeepsie
