Thomas W. Riesdorph, age 70, of Erie, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023 with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Erie on August 26, 1953 a son of the late, Roy H. and Winifred (Powell) Riesdorph.
Thomas graduated from St. Joseph Grade School and Tech Memorial High School. He worked for Hammermill for 30 years before finishing his career at GE as a welder. Tom was a gamer, he enjoyed playing video games especially with his grandchildren. He was an avid Steelers fan, a big fisherman, and in his younger years he raced cars. Above all, Tom loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a wonderful husband, father, and papa. This past February he and his wife Lynn celebrated their 50th anniversary and just a few weeks ago he was able to celebrate his 70th birthday.
In addition to his parents, Thomas is preceded in death by his siblings, David Riesdorph, Linda Miller, and Rebecca Goehring (Bill).
He is survived by his wife, Lynn (Reed) Riesdorph, his children, Dawn Lehman (Mark), George Riesdorph (Alanna), Jennie Gaskill (Steven), his grandchildren, Mark Jr., Kaylee, and Christina Lehman, Ashlyn, Jasmine, and Jayden Riesdorph, Elisha and Noah Gaskill, great-grandchildren, Sophyia, Emmerson, Evelyn, and Lakelynn Peterman, two special nieces, Amy Wilson and Anne Patterson, several other nieces and nephews survive.
Friends are invited to the visiting on Wednesday at Kloecker Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 2502 Sassafras Street Erie, PA 16502 from 3pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 5:45pm. Inurnment will take place at a later time. Send condolences to www.kloeckerfuneralhome.com.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org.
