Thomas Allen Roberts, 76, of Colleyville, Texas, died surrounded by family and friends on Friday, May 23, 2025. The oldest of Mary and Edgar Roberts' five children, he grew up on the family farm in Radnor, Ohio and loved returning to the farm as often as possible throughout his life.
Tom attended Buckeye Valley High School where he was described as a leader of the class, a brilliant honor student and just an all around good guy. Tom not only excelled academically but was very active in varsity sports, including football, baseball, basketball, and track. The friends he made in high school became lifelong friends.
Following high school, Tom attended and graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, and then attended The Ohio State University where he completed a Masters degree in Business Administration.
During his senior year at Notre Dame, Tom met his future wife, Joan. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in September of 2023. Tom is survived by his wife Joan; his siblings Mary, Dan, John, and Joe; his children Kristi (Todd), Tim (Tana), and Katie (Tom); and his grandchildren Skylar, Brady, Ella, Luke, Mary, and Connor.
Tom's support of his family was steadfast. He loved being silly and engaged in their lives. Tom enjoyed singing in the church choir, acting in local musicals, riding his motorcycle, traveling, skiing, spending time outdoors, and studying American history. He always had many projects he was working on. He enjoyed cheering on "The Irish" at football games and getting together with friends. Tom had a big heart, a zest for adventure, and an infectious laugh.
Services will be held Monday, June 23rd at 11:00 am at Good Shepherd Catholic Community in Colleyville, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tom's name to the Alzheimer's Association at the following link: Alzheimer's Association">Alzheimer's Association at the following http://act.alz.org/goto/skylarscamman
