Thomas Michael Schmitz
Tom Schmitz of North Richland Hills, Texas passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 26 th at the age of 84. He will always be known as a loving husband, father, and friend to all that knew and loved him. Tom was blessed in love twice; first with his wife of 49 years, Dianna, and again with his wife of 13 years, Shirley. He was a talented woodworker and spent many of his retirement years making crosses for those in need.
Tom is survived by his loving wife Shirley, brothers Rob (Judy) and Ric (Jane), sister Marlys, sister-in-law Jan, brother-in-law John (Pat), sister-in-laws Carla (Tom) and Jacki (Dean), children Tom (Lisa), Dave (Michelle), Amanda (Tito), and Nancy (Pat), grandchildren Ryan (Kellie), Jessica (Andrew), Tommy, Alex, Jason, and Niki (Preston), great grandchildren Sawyer, Isla, Rosie, Addy, Luke, Peyton, Skyla, Blair, Ivy, and Mila. He was also loved dearly by Shirley’s children Rae (Chuck), Debbie (Mike), Shellie (Kyle), and Becky (Todd), grandchildren Christen, Chaz, Abbey, Neil, Seth, Tanner, Brian, and Claire, and great grandchildren Odin, Peighton, and Lily. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Dianna, brother Jack, brother-in-law Jim, grandsons William and Jeffrey, and great granddaughter Lucie.
The visitation will be held at 10:00 on Thursday, January 30 th at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road in Hurst, Texas. The memorial service will follow at 11:00 in the same location. We will then proceed to Bear Creek Cemetery at 100 Bear Creek Cemetery Road in Euless, Texas for the Interment. Following the interment, everyone is invited to lunch at Mi Pueblos located in North Richland Hills, Texas at 8010 Bedford Euless Road.
