Thomas Leo Scott passed away on March 8, 2026, at the age of 53.
Tom was born on September 25, 1972, in Amherst, Ohio, and was the beloved son of Sandra and Leo Scott.
Tom was known for his deep love for his family and his community, as well as his curiosity and dedication to his work. As a lifelong learner, he had a thirst for knowledge and was always interested in understanding more about the world around him. Tom approached life with a positive spirit, determination, and remarkable patience. Even during difficult moments, he faced challenges with strength and perseverance.
Although he did not have children of his own, Tom took great pride in being an uncle. He adored his nieces, Alexandrea Smith, Kaitlyn Smith, Myah Voge, and Morgan Mendez, and with his nephew, Chase Voge. He was always happy to spend time with them, offering encouragement, support, and laughter whenever he could.
Tom is also survived by his loving mother, Sandra Scott, and his sisters, Heather (Lyle) Voge and Rachel (Daniel) Mendez. He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Scott.
Tom will be remembered for his kindness, thoughtful nature, and the steady presence he brought to those who knew and loved him.
A tribute to celebrate Tom’s life will be held at Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Ave, Amherst, 44001, on Saturday, March 21, 2026, 2-4 PM. Please dress casually, as it's what Tom would have wanted.
