Thomas P. Stanevich
"Loving husband, father & grandfather"
Thomas P. Stanevich, age 76, of Middlebury, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Carol (Lopata) Stanevich for 50 years.
Thomas was born on May 19, 1948 in Waterbury, CT, a son of the late Joseph C. and Olga (Baltrukonis) Stanevich. He was a graduate of W. F. Kaynor Technical High School. He was maintenance mechanic for the Middlebury Volunteer Fire Department and volunteered there for many years. He also worked for Jackson Lea Manufacturing for 20 years and Albea Dispensing for over 10 years. He enjoyed cribbage, bowling, pinch (scotch) on the rocks with a cherry and primarily making memories with his grandkids.
Besides his wife, Carol, of Middlebury, he leaves his son, Brian T. Stanevich and his wife, Lisa Marie Gavrish of Naugatuck, CT, his daughter, Terry E. Stanevich of Stratford, CT, granddaughters, Taylor Marie Siefer, Sophia Grace Stanevich and Ava Leigh Stanevich and two nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Juanita Darling and brother, Joseph P. Stanevich.
Arrangements: Calling hours for Thomas will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 3:00 - 5:45 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway Waterbury, CT. A prayer service will follow the wake at 5:45 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Thomas' memory may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
