Joseph T. Stanevich, 78, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at his home. Born July 18, 1946 in Middlebury; the son of the late Joseph C. Stanevich and Olga Stanevich.
Joe proudly served in the U. S. Marine Corps. He was an avid hunter especially bow hunting and fisherman. He could often be seen on top of his hunting stand behind his house. He lived by Highland Lake for 30 + years.
He is survived by his two sons, Zachary Stanevich and wife Colleen of CO and Christopher Stanevich and wife Christina of Oxford and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted has care of the arrangements. Visit an online guestbook at montano-shea.com.
