Thomas Ray Stark, beloved husband, father, and comrade, passed away on November 12, 2025. Born on June 19, 1936, in
Ogden, Utah, he was a man whose life was filled with dedication, compassion, and a love for exploration. As Robert Louis Stevenson once said, "Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds you plant," and that's precisely how Thomas lived his life.
A proud resident of Clinton, Utah, for 64 years, Thomas was a person of many talents and interests. His career as a sheet metal worker at Hill Air Force Base spanned more than half a century, preceded by his service in the U.S. Army. His dedication and craftsmanship were evident in the aircraft he worked on, a testament to his commitment to our nation's defense. Yet, his achievements extended beyond his professional life. His home, a house he built with his own hands, stood as a tangible manifestation of his hard work and skill. Thomas was an avid reader with a penchant for science books, a tinkerer who found joy in fixing cars for his family, and a lover of the outdoors, frequently hiking in the stunning landscapes of Utah.
His kindness was not reserved for humans alone. A lover of animals, Thomas was known to care for all the neighborhood cats, always ensuring they had a can of Friskies to enjoy. Thomas's love for animals was a testament to his inherent kindness.
Survived by his loving wife, Virginia, and his children, Ryan, April, Kirt, Brandon and Troy, Thomas will be remembered as a loving husband, a nurturing father, and a pillar of the community. Preceded in death by his parents, James and Doris Stark, Thomas leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and service.
