Thomas D. Starkey passed away peacefully at his home on November 26, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Patricia (nee Craig) Starkey. Father of Thomas Jr., Patricia Passarella (James), Margaret Armideo, Maureen Alvarez (Alex) and Michael Starkey (Tatiana). Also survived by his grandchildren Thomas III, Mary Elizabeth, Regina, Francis, Sienna Kassabian (William), Vincent, Nicholas, Daria, Adelina, Alex, Luke, Amelia, and his great grandchildren Thomas IV and Alara.
Tom was a graduate of Most Blessed Sacrament grade school, and a graduate of West Catholic High School for Boys, Class of 1955. Tom was also a Army Veteran and worked his whole career at General Electric, mostly at the Elmwood Avenue plant in Southwest Philly. Tom enjoyed playing cards and loved being a member of West Catholic Boys Father's Club. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and was a lifelong Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan. Tom and his wife Pat raised their family in St. Barnabas Parish, where they were very active in numerous CYO activities including the parish carnival. They also had a large group of friends in the area, that brought many joyful times and memories.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday, December 5th from 9:15am to 10:15am St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073. Funeral Mass at 10:30am. Interment after Mass at SS. Petere & Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Wounded Warriors, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66678-8516 would be much appreciated.
