Thomas Jacob Susz

Thomas Susz, 87, of Tunkhannock passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the Abington Manor. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janice (Whytashek) Susz.

Born on February 2, 1938 in Glen Lyon, PA, he is the son of the late Frank and Nellie Susz.

He was a proud graduate of Newport Township High School in 1955. Thomas went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era. Following his military service, he began his career at Procter and Gamble, where he devoted 30 years of his life, retiring in 1998.

In 1970, Thomas moved to Tunkhannock, where he became a devoted member of the Nativity BVM Church for 56 years. His faith and community involvement were important parts of his life.

He loved spending time with his family, creating lasting memories, and playing with his beloved cats. An avid traveler, he enjoyed exploring new places and immersing himself in different experiences. Thomas also had a fondness for game shows and spent countless hours completing puzzles.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, David Susz, Mark Susz and wife Michell, Corey Susz and wife Tammy; daughters, Joylynn Woodrosky and husband Shon, Janessa Core and husband Chris; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his 3 siblings.
