Thomas Carl Thomsen

Thomas Carl Thomsen, affectionately known as "Morfor" to his loved ones, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, in Slidell, Louisiana. Born on January 2, 1942, in Aalborg, Denmark, Thomas's life was marked by an unwavering spirit of curiosity and a dedication to family, education, and profession.
Thomas's early years in Aalborg were the foundation of a life rich in education and adventure. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Aalborg Teknikum, which set the stage for a successful and fulfilling career as a Mechanical Engineer. His professional contributions were significant, and he was highly regarded by his peers for his sharp analytical mind, which he paired with a wisdom that guided not just his work but also the lives of those around him.
In his personal life, Thomas was a devoted family man. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Inger Lise Thomsen, with whom he shared a life full of love and mutual respect. Together, they raised two daughters, Helle Montgomery (Chris Montgomery) and Lotte Delaney (the late Adrian Delaney Sr.). Thomas took immense pride in his grandchildren: Ashley Dodson, Adrian Delaney Jr. (Cassy Delaney), Christian and Terance Baierwalter, Victoria Irvin (Johnathan Irvin III), and Adriana Montgomery. He was also blessed to meet and cherish his many great-grandchildren: Sequoia and William "Trey" Dodson, Adrian III, Hendrix and Kyson Delaney, and Aubree Irvin, who brought him immense joy in his later years.
Thomas's interests and hobbies were as varied as they were passionate. He was an avid traveler, a voracious reader, and had a particular talent for making beer-a craft that he pursued with the same precision and enthusiasm that characterized his professional projects. His intellectual pursuits were a source of inspiration to many, and his conversations were often enlightening, peppered with his natural intelligence and analytical insights.
Thomas's memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His influence will continue to be felt through the lives of those he touched with his knowledge, his kindness, and his gentle guidance. As we say goodbye to Thomas Carl Thomsen, we celebrate a life well-lived, a path well-traveled, and a man well-loved.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell.
