Cathleen Collins Skiles

Cathleen Collins Skiles, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on November 5, 2025, at the age of 71. Born in Oak Park, Illinois, on October 23, 1954, she is the beloved daughter of Joseph Earle and Mary Jane Collins.
Cathleen is the cherished mother of Lauren Skiles Oustalet (John Thomas Oustalet Jr.) and the adored sister of Joan Wilkinson, Janeen Gerhold, Michael Collins, Patricia Neames, Dr. Kevin Collins, Mary Jane Crist, and the late Patrick Collins. She had many nieces and nephews that she loved and enjoyed. Cathleen also held a special place in the hearts of Tanner and Amanda Winters and their children, Lyndon, Bowen, and Finley Winters. Cathleen was reunited with her dog, Fifle, on November 7, 2025. He was her constant companion and brought her endless joy.
Cathleen's educational journey culminated in a B.A. in Interior Design from Louisiana State University, laying the foundation for the thoughtful and informed way she engaged with the world around her. Cathleen had a passion for life and a talent for decorating, which were most evident in her love for decorating her home. Her home told a story, a reflection of her artistic eye and the love she had for her family.
Cathleen always looked forward to traveling with her daughter, Lauren. Their trips provided not only adventure but also an opportunity for the pair to share in laughter, creating bonds that were unbreakable. The time Cathleen spent with her family was her greatest treasure and the memories created will be forever cherished.
