Sadly we announce Tom’s passing on May 21,2024 at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN.  He died peacefully in his sleep, having spent many days with family at his side.   

He was born June 3, 1937, to Nicholas and Demitra Limberis in Minneapolis, MN.  He is survived by his wife Bette Chisholm, her daughter Andrea (Jack Gresser and grandchildren Carter and Mitchell Gresser); brother, Chris (Nancy), Limberis, their children Nickie, Angie, Brooke (Jason Devine) and Ian;  and by many treasured nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, niece Gina Umphlett and her son, Andrew; sisters-in-law Mary Warner (Charles) and Katharine Lindholm Talberg (Norman, Morris).

Tom graduated from Central High School and the University of Minnesota.  He attended William Mitchell College of Law but resigned when his father passed away to assist his mother with running the family cafeteria.  Later he became more involved with trading commodities and financial futures and pursued other marketing and business opportunities.

Tom enjoyed tennis, reading, good food,  playing gin rummy, and watching sports teams, all with a positive outlook on life.  

A celebration of life will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, June 1 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.  Lunch will be served at the American Legion immediately following services.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
