Dear Cece, I only had the opportunity to briefly meet Tom and his personality left the warmest impression. Wishing you peace and sending you love.

Cece, Tom B. and I will very much miss our time with Tom when you would sit behind us at the Blue Monkey. He always made us think, smile, laugh or groan, depending on the subject. We enjoyed every minute of knowing him along with you, and surely you know how much he was appreciated. Sherri and Tom.

Tom was not only a consummate journalist but a wonderful human being. He was a mentor and friend to many of us at the Philly Inquirer, someone who always found the time to help his colleagues and whose sense of humor made any time spent with him a joy. Tom will be dearly missed by all who were lucky enough to have known him,

I did not know Tom, but was moved by this beautifully written tribute. What a distinguished life, and such a tremendous legacy left behind. My sincere condolences.

I was stunned to learn of Tom´s death. I worked for a while with Tom at the Courier-Post but never got to know much about him or appreciated his talents until he was assigned, briefly and probably as a management punishment for some irreverence, to the press room in Camden´s City Hall. He slid into a comfort level immediately among the rest of the oddballs and misfits, using his ability to hide his intelligence from the rest of us.
He was a delightful guy, finding happiness and spreading some wherever he went. He was always willing to help in the days when we were trying to master basic computer skills and he was processing charts. None of his duties in the Ukraine surprised me. I wish we had him near now to explain some of the country´s history and value to us.
Cece, my heart is with you and your children.
