Thomas Ullrich

Thomas Ullrich, age 78, of Shelton, entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 18, 2024, at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport. He is the beloved husband of Joanne (Novitski) Ullrich, with whom he celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary the day prior. Thomas was born in Milford, on November 22, 1945, son of the late William John and Jean (Aitchison) Ullrich, and he lived with his wife in Shelton since 1977.
He served his country with the US Navy and worked as a driver for UPS and a custodian in the Shelton School District before his retirement. Thomas enjoyed a warm sense of humor and loved to spend time with his family and watch his grandchildren compete in their sports. He enjoyed feeding the birds and gardening around his home and cherished memories of hunting with his brothers.
He is the beloved father of Michael Ullrich (Christine Carey) and Robert Ullrich and his wife Alyssa, and proud grandfather of Samantha Belluscio (James), Michael Ullrich, Matthew Ullrich, Christopher Sevigny, Lilly Ullrich, and Emmett Ullrich. He also is survived by two brothers, James and Ronald, three sisters, Betty, Sheila, and Sharon, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, William, and a sister, Jean.
Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 4 to 7 PM.
