Dover – Thomas E. Weeden, 72, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. He was surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 16, 1951, Tom was the son of the late Alfred and Evelyn (Haigh) Weeden.
A true Dover native, Tom graduated from Dover High in 1970. He went on to marry his high school sweetheart and together they raised three children. In his younger years, Tom served his country honorably in the United States Army and later in the Air Force National Guard. He then took on a role for the State of New Hampshire in the Department of Transportation. He worked there diligently until retiring as a supervisor in 2011.
Tom was an avid outdoorsman and could often be found fishing or hunting around Strafford County with his family and friends. Traveling with his wife across the country brought him great joy. He also adored the time spent working on his vegetable garden and working away on his different projects. Tom was never upset to have the extra work and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those he loved.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 52 years, Roxanne (Bull) Weeden; children, Matthew Weeden and wife, Lori, of Rochester, Angela Yeaton of Somersworth, and Jodi Eames and husband, Richard, of Rochester; grandchildren, Alyssa, Zachary, Timothy, Caleb, Taylor, Hannah, Sadie, Jordyn, Kevin, and Ethan; five great-grandchildren Madelyn, Jillian, Emmett, Lily and Blaire; and his good friend, Butch Taylor. Tom was always proud of his grandchildren and had great love for them all. Surviving siblings are Alfred Weeden, Jr. and wife, Nancy, of Brookefield and Jane Crosby and husband, Bill, of Connecticut. Along with his parents, Tom was predeceased by his sister, Evelyn Bateman.
According to Tom's wishes, he wanted no funeral services and only immediate family at his burial. Tasker Funeral Home has been entrusted with Tom's care, and he was laid to rest in Pine Grove Cemetery in Farmington.
