Thornton David "Thor" Brown, age 36, formerly of St. Augustine, passed away unexpectedly on November 24, 2023 at Advent Health Deltona. Thornton was born on June 8, 1987 in New Jersey and moved to St. Augustine at a young age. He graduated from St. Augustine High School with the class of 2005. In his teenage years he began working at the Columbia Restaurant in St. Augustine and became a very successful waiter for the restaurant. He worked for the Columbia for more than 15 years. Most recently he was working for Foundever Insurance and would occasionally still work in a shift at the Columbia. Thor enjoyed surfing, skateboarding and gaming. He was most a peace when he was on the water and was an avid fisherman. More than anything Thor loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Judith O' Shaughnessy. He is survived by a girlfriend, Kristie Richar of Deltona, his former wife and son, Erin Brown and Ashton Brown of Kissimmee, FL.; his sister, Michelle Tipton and her husband Patrick "Big Pat" of St. Augustine, FL, brother, Peter Giambrone and girlfriend, Megan Slade of St. Augustine; grandmother, Josephine DeDomenico; uncles, Mark & Kenny; nieces, Savannah Tipton and Miya Giambrone; and nephews, Patrick "Little Pat" Tipton, Kobe Giambrone.
