DeWayne Garner, age 57, passed away on December 15, 2025. He was a man of the Christian faith whose life was marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a love for the outdoors.
Dewayne found great joy in carpentry, taking pride in working with his hands and creating things that would last. He also loved spending time outdoors and riding motorcycles, activities that brought him peace and happiness. Above all, he cherished his family and the time he shared with those he loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thurman and Judy Garner.
He is survived by his son, Mitch Cofer; daughter, Jessica Mitchell; sibling, Waynette King; and his beloved grandchildren, Sophia, Beckam, Lennex Mitchell, Tristan, Gavin, and Abigail Cofer. He also leaves behind three nephews, one niece, and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and special friends who will forever cherish his memory.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Center Point Baptist Church Cemetery, with John Parker officiating.
Dewayne will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
