Tillie lived her entire life in Lancaster, beginning on an Eastside alfalfa ranch with her large, loving family. She and Leon, her husband of 52 years, reared their six children in a home that welcomed family gatherings.
Grace and compassion marked her life. Which made Tillie well loved and respected by new friends, all her multi-generational family members and old, long-established, lifetime associations.
Whether she worked at the Salvation Army thrift store, our Uncle's/cousin's little store, Tillie found joy in serving people and making new friends.
Her strong Christian faith shown brightly throughout her life by the generosity, empathy and kindness she extended to others. Tillie touched the lives of everybody who knew her in a warm and loving way.
She is preceded in death by her husband, daughter,granddaughter, her parents and several siblings. Tillie is survived by 5 children, 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, a host of family members and a multitude of friends.
