Born in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, he was raised by his grandparents, Leone and John Kerns.
Tim was an active member of Mauldin First Baptist Church, serving the Lord and his community in numerous ways. He was also heavily involved in Kairos Prison Ministry. This program, and these men, made such an impact on his heart and his walk with the Lord. They will forever be brothers.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by; his daughter, Angela Rigsby (Josh); son, Nicholas Brett; grandchildren, Emory and Zadie Rigsby, Lillian and Turner Brett; brother, Michael Brett; brother-in-law, Don Turner; cousins Laura Kay and Beryl Paxton.
He was preceded in death by his loving and gracious grandparents, Leone and John Kerns.
A visitation will be held Saturday, January 07, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Mauldin First Baptist Church followed by the Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be private.

I am shocked to hear about TIm's passing. He was one of the "good guys" and a benefit to the Greenville area. I will miss him and always remember him as someone ever- willing to help others. My sympathy goes out to his family and associates.

Rita and family,
I am sorry to hear of Tim´s death. I remember him as a faithful servant at Mauldin First Baptist. I also remember him as softball coach who encouraged the children to have fun and to be Christ centered. I know you will miss him terribly. I´m praying for all of you as you navigate life without him.
