Tim D. Recker

Tim Recker, 65, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Monday, July 1, 2024, at his home. Tim was born June 28, 1959, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of the late Gerald Duane and Norma June (Roethlisberger) Recker. He attended school in Chippewa Hills and was employed by Morbark and Bear Truss before his recent retirement. He enjoyed smoking cigars and drinking Don Q Cristal and Diet Pepsi. Most people know how much Tim loved to bowl and golf. Tim was elected to the Mt. Pleasant Bowlers Hall of Fame in 2013 and had served as past president of the association. Tim is survived by his brother, Gary Recker of Mt. Pleasant, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Norma Recker; and brother, George Recker. Tim's funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 5, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home with Deacon Jim Damitio officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A luncheon will follow in Lincoln Reception Center (attached to the funeral home). Tim will be laid to rest in Broomfield Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
