Tim was a Fraternity Brother of mine (Ohio Gamma Chapter of Phi Delta Theta) at Ohio University in Athens, OH.
We had never met ... I had graduated in 1985 ..., nor spoken over the phone, but both he and I had a wonderful written dialogue, via Messenger, back in October of 2021, when I was a member of our Fraternity´s House Corporation Board of Directors.
I had taken it upon myself to connect with as many Brothers who were on Facebook, dating back to the 1950´s, on a Capital Campaign, to raise funds for our current home.
I had thoroughly enjoyed the process, "virtually" meeting and getting to know 100´s of Brothers now living across our Country, but I would have to say that my communications with Tim resonated with me the most.
Tim had ultimately earmarked a very generous monetary donation to the cause.
As a retired marketing and sales person, I believe it is true that the words you use, both orally and in writing, as well as the company that you keep, speak volumes of the kind of person that you are.
This could not be more true with Tim.
We were both Chapter Presidents, and had experienced challenges during our respective School year in Office.
Based on what I was able to glean from Tim´s Facebook Profile, coupled with the aforementioned communications, I felt like I had known Tim for many years.
God bless you, Tim, and thank you for not only coming in to my life, but touching it!
In coelo quies est (In Heaven There Is Rest).
