Timothy C. Calpin died Wednesday at Sacred Heart Hospice, Dunmore, surrounded by his family. Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Thomas P. and Margaret Dursley Calpin, Sr. He was a graduate of Scranton Tech. He was the Food Director for Julia Ribaudo Nursing Center. Prior to his employment there, he was employed at Allied Services for many years.

An avid Notre Dame fan, he enjoyed gardening, caring for his home and cooking. To know Tim ,was to love him. With his quick wit and sarcastic humor, you could always count on him for a laugh. His greatest joy in life was being with his family and his devotion to them will never be forgotten. He cared so much for all those in his life and he made it known through his actions. There was no one like him and he will be greatly missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know him.

Surviving are five sisters, Norita Munley and husband Wayne of Peckville, Catherine Sansone of Peckville, Madelyn Jacobs of Scranton, Erin Calpin of Scranton and Colleen Beppler and husband Brian of Scranton. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews. Tim was proceeded in death by his brother and best friend, Thomas P. Calpin, Jr.

A mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday September 18th at 10 AM at Holy Rosary Church 316 William Street, Scranton. Friends may call at the church from 9 AM until mass begins. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
