Timothy Wayne “Timmy” Carter, 63 years old of Concord, Virginia, passed away on July 18, 2025. Timmy’s parents were not known.
Timmy was born on January 22, 1962. At the age of 4 years old, Timmy became part of the community at Central Virginia Training Center, where he was loved by many. Timmy loved the color red, toolboxes, trains, fire trucks and babies. Timmy had an exceptional personality, and you couldn’t help but love him once you met him. His smile was infectious. When you walked in the room, Timmy would say, “Hey! Come here Lady”, And he would take your hand and escort you to his Christmas tree, saying, “so pretty!”. Timmy enjoyed shopping for decorations for his tree so it could be redecorated seasonally. He also liked shopping for new toolboxes and naming each of his tools. During his leisure time, Timmy enjoyed working on his wooden puzzles, and naming the animals and trucks as he mimicked the sounds they made. Timmy’s favorite place to eat was Burger King, but anywhere that had cheeseburgers and fries, was a Burger King to him. Timmy never left the house without his hat and sunglasses, and he loved to talk! When he would ask you to sing for him, it was always “All Around the Mulberry Bush”. Timmy was truly an extraordinary man full of life and excitement, not to mention his year-round Christmas spirit!
Timmy never married and had no children. There are no other known family members. He was cared for and provided a wonderful life by loving Sponsors in the community once he left Central Virginia Training Center in 2008.
In lieu of flowers, please send up prayers for all of the remarkable people like Timmy who brought a smile to your face, brightened your day, and enjoyed their community involvement as much as he did.
