Gladys Mae Smith, 88, of Arrington was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at her home surrounded by family. Born in Nelson County, January 16, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Radford and Hattie Rucker-Briggs.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Lovingston, Va. With Reverend Brown, officiating; Reverend Pannell, eulogy, Reverend Lucille Jackson, personal reflections and Minister Sadie Simmons, scripture readings. The family will receive family and friends one hour prior to the service.
