Timothy R. Crider, 69, of Marion, PA, passed away Monday, May 5, 2025, in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born January 20, 1956 in Chambersburg, he was the son of Charles T. Crider of Orrstown, PA and the late Goldie A. (Comp) Crider.
He was a graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School with the Class of 1975. Tim was employed as a custodian supervisor with the Chambersburg Area School District. He retired after nearly 25 years of dedicated service.
Tim was an active and faithful member of Ebenezer United Brethren Church, Greencastle, PA, where he served as an elder. His favorite hobbies included tending to his chicken farm, cutting firewood with Charles (Pap), and organizing family gatherings. He never missed his children and grandchildren’s special events where he could be found cheering them on enthusiastically.
In addition to Tim’s father, he is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marlene G. (Shank) Crider, who he married May 1, 1976; three children, Jason R. Crider (Brandis Connelly, Fiancé) of Shippensburg, PA, Amanda J. Crider (Dustin Beltz, SO) of Fayetteville, PA, and Trisha A. Jones (Robert) of San Diego, CA; three grandchildren, Trystan R. Crider, Ava R. Beltz, and Savannah G. Jones; and two siblings, Cynthia Lehman (Ivan) of Hagerstown, MD, and Andrew Crider (Deb) of Chambersburg.
Services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, May 12, 2025 in Ebenezer United Brethren Church, 3661 Williamson Road, Greencastle, PA 17225 with Pastor Josh Lance officiating. Burial will follow in Marion Mennonite Cemetery, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Sunday, May 11, 2025 in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202 as well as one hour prior to the service Monday morning in the church.
