With hearts full of love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of Timothy (Timmy) Joseph Delargy, who passed away on August 12, 2025, at Sequoyah Nursing Home in Sallisaw, OK, at the age of 61. Born on January 22, 1964, in Tulsa, Timmy was a cherished son of the late James and Teresa Delargy and a beloved husband, brother, and friend.
Timmy's journey began in Tulsa, where he developed a love for the outdoors and a passion for adventure. As a young boy, he embraced the spirit of exploration through the Boy Scouts of America, earning the esteemed rank of Eagle Scout in 1978. His love for fishing and capturing the beauty of wildlife through photography reflected his deep appreciation for nature.
After graduating from Rogers High School in 1982, Timmy pursued his passion for drafting at Tulsa Vo-Tech. His career as a civil engineering draftsman and later a road construction supervisor spanned many years, culminating in his well-earned retirement in 2006.
In 42 wonderful years of marriage, Timmy and his beloved wife, Diana Delargy, created a lifetime of cherished memories together. He is also survived by his older brother, Daniel Delargy, and partner Brittany, as well as countless friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts. Timmy was preceded in death by his younger brother, Shawn Delargy.
Timmy's faith blossomed as he transitioned from his Catholic upbringing to becoming a devoted member of the Cookson United Methodist Church in 2012. On January 10, 2010, he gave his life to Jesus Christ, a decision that enriched his spirit and the lives of those around him.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 1 PM at Cookson United Methodist Church. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor Timmy's legacy of kindness, love, and unwavering commitment to his community.
As we remember Timmy, let us celebrate the joy he brought into our lives and the many ways he enriched the world around him. His laughter, passion for life, and love for others will be deeply missed but will forever resonate in our hearts.
