Tim passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 20, 2026
Tim was born in Minneapolis. He graduated from Columbia Heights High school and Carpentry School in 1977. He was in the US Army as a truck driver. Tim was proceeded in death by his mother, MaryAnn Katherine Dewey, his father Kenneth Neal Dewey, and his brother Patrick Neal Dewey. He is survived by his son, Justin Neal (Nicole Patrick/ life partner); sister, Pamela Gallagher (Mike); nephews, Jesse Kinch, Josiah Kinch (Sydney); great nephew, Rowan Kinch, and many loving cousins.
Tim loved the simple things in life, like going on walks on the roads in the Chippewa National forest to the paths on Sullivans Pond in Columbia Heights. He took pride in working on his cars and trucks when he had his construction business.
He enjoyed his garden with tomatoes and his large Geranium plants that he kept year after year. He also spent a lot of time working in his yard. He enjoyed special dinners with the family, especially in the early years when his parents and all of the aunts and uncles were still alive.
He was an excellent carpenter with skills that created beautiful projects, including additions to his home in Grand Rapids and later to his home in Columbia Heights.
His relationship was God was very personal, and he served God in many ways.
He will be missed by all that loved him.
