Timothy Donahue, age 54, passed away on October 7, 2023. He left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
As a retired firefighter in Cleveland with Ladder 39, he dedicated his life to serving and protecting the community. Timothy was not only a man of many trades but also possessed qualities that set him apart. His perfectionism and craftsmanship were evident in everything he touched. Known for his generosity and unwavering commitment to doing what is right, Timothy touched countless lives. He was proud to have his own business brick laying. No matter what it was, Timothy would make sure it was done right. He always did the best he could with what he had.
In his free time, Timothy enjoyed fishing trips with his friends to Montauk, New York. With a strong personality and great sense of humor, he brightened every room he walked in. His family cherishes the memories of him cooking, grilling, and spending time at his home- which he built and was so proud of. Fond memories were made at his most recent home target shooting with Alexis, landscaping and simply maintaining his land. He loved his big red pick-up truck, which he and Madison drove all the way from Texas when he bought it. When his mom recently became ill, he made sure to be beside her, going to show his true caregiver's heart. Timothy's legacy will forever be remembered as that of a compassionate firefighter, his life's passion, who touched countless people.
He was preceded in death by his father, John R. Donahue Jr.
He is survived by his daughters, Madison Donahue and Alexis Donahue; mother, Julianne Donahue; siblings, Laura and Michael Prech, John R. Donahue III, David Donahue, and Amy Donahue; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as other family members and friends.
Friends and Family may gather from 4:00PM to 8:00PM on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Sunset Chapel (6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070). A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 12:00noon with Firefighter Honors.
