Timothy F. "Tim" Duffy, 63, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 24, 2024 in the comfort of his home, with his loving family at his side.
He leaves his high school sweetheart, best friend, and love of his life, Diane E. (Rushford) Duffy, with whom he shared 40 wonderful years of marriage and a lifetime of happiness; their devoted children, Colleen Houck and her husband Bryan, of Worcester, Ryan Duffy and his wife Maggie, of N. Grosvenordale, CT, and Brendan Duffy and his wife Stephannie, of Auburn; his loving father, John F. Duffy, of Webster, MA and Rye Beach, NH; one beloved grandson, Declan Duffy, and a granddaughter due in September; his siblings, John Duffy and his wife Denise, of Shrewsbury, and Maureen Duffy, of Webster; along with a nephew, many nieces, and friends, including his high school best friends, Alfred Morin, Steve Gervais, and Daniel Cardinal. Tim was predeceased by his beloved mother, Helen P. (O'Connell) Duffy, who passed in 2000.
Tim was born, raised, and educated in Worcester; he graduated from Holy Name High School with the Class of 1978. He retired as Owner and President of Tierney & Dalton Associates in Douglas when he became ill around four years ago.
Tim loved spending time with his family vacationing in Rye Beach, NH and their special place in Florida, as well as sailing the British and American Virgin Islands with his wife and friends. He relished his trips to Old Orchard Beach, ME with "the boys," and he took his role as a professional tailgater very seriously at his beloved Patriots games. Tim was a proud season ticket holder!
We've lost a wonderfully funny, caring, and charismatic man, but his legacy and love will live on in those whose lives he touched. Tim will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made either to Maggie's Mission: checks payable to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (with "VOY-Amanda Barry" in the memo line), 16 Paul Street, Worcester, MA 01606 (https://pages.lls.org/voy/ma/ma24/abarry) or to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023 (www.diabetes.org/donate).
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Duffy family from 9:30 – 11 AM on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. Tim's funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 AM at North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn, with burial to follow at St. John's Cemetery, Worcester.
