Timothy Ray Evans, 69, of Forum; passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, in Saint Louis, surrounded by his beloved wife and two loving daughters. He was born Thursday, July 12, 1956, at Springdale; to Nathan Dean Evans and Madell Carlene Walden.
Tim married Donna Jean Witt on Saturday, August 5, 1978, in Huntsville; and together they raised three wonderful children, Adrian, Amber, and Aaron. He was a devoted member of Living Water Baptist Church, finding happiness and a sense of belonging among his church family.
Tim was a quiet man who did not always say a great deal, yet he carried a joyful spirit that filled a room. He was laid back to a fault, never in a hurry and rarely troubled by the worries of the world, always content just being at home surrounded by the simple comforts he loved most. He had a playful sense of humor and loved to joke and tease, especially the gullible, always bringing smiles and laughter to those around him. He also had a deep love for history, particularly the Civil War.
He had a deep love for the outdoors. Whether he was hunting, fishing, or tending to his game chickens, he found peace being outside in nature. He spent almost every evening sitting outside after caring for his game birds, simply watching the wild birds nearby and listening to the familiar sounds around him. For many years, he was a trapper and sold fur, wholeheartedly embracing a life that kept him close to the land. It was not uncommon for family members to open the freezer and discover that it held more than supper, as he often stored his carefully prepared hides in there-always a surprise and so very "Tim."
Tim had a tender heart for animals and children alike, showing gentle patience and kindness that was felt by all who knew him. One of his favorite places was Pine Creek, where he often took his family swimming or for walks. He loved it so much that, on occasion, he would even brave the cold spring water beneath the waterfall before heading to work.
He treasured the friendships he formed through his love of game chickens and enjoyed spending time visiting and gathering with his friends who shared his interests.
Above all, Tim was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a very proud "Pa Tim" to his four beloved grandchildren. Shannan, Ruger, Caleb, and Hartlea were the light of his life and held a special place in his heart. He dearly loved his Momma, and he was a caring and faithful brother who cherished each of his many siblings and the bond they shared.
Timothy was preceded in death by his two dad's, Nathan Evans and Cecil Woods; his maternal grandparents, Carl and Minnie Walden; two brothers, Sonny and Bub Woods; and one sister, Tammie Woods.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Donna Evans, of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Adrian and Dustin Thomas, of Huntsville, Amber and Jason Harriman, of Hindsville; one son, Aaron Evans, of the home; his momma's, Madell Woods, of Huntsville and Shirley Evans, of Wesley; one granddaughter, Hartlea Harriman; and three grandsons, Shannan Evans, Ruger Thomas, and Caleb Harriman. He is also survived by three sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen and Gerald Kelley, of Eureka Springs, Vanessa and Dale Prouty, of Mayfield, and Carlene and Jeremy Ramsey of Huntsville; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Ronnie Lewis, of Mayfield, Greg and Kim Woods, of Clifty, Michael Dean and Samantha Evans, of Oklahoma, and John Earl and Connie Evans, of Mayfield. Tim is additionally remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will hold him close in their hearts.
