Tim was born on September 3rd, 1959, to Carson and Luberta Gentry in Cookeville, Tennessee.
He spent his early years playing basketball, football, and racquetball.
He began a career in the milk industry and continued over the next ten years.
In the summer of 1987, Tim met Tammy and they were married on June 13th, 1990. They went on to have one child, Brittany Gentry Phillips.
Tim found his life-long career creating Gentry's Concrete and made many strong and lasting friendships within that company. His work ethic was unmatched, always putting in extra hours to ensure his family was taken care of.
Tim was strong willed and stubborn at times, be he also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. He was a stranger to no one and could connect with people from all walks of life.
He was the most amazing husband and father, and he seamlessly transitioned into the most loving and supportive grandfather to Jayden, Aaliyah, and Kinsley.
Tim was the anchor in our lives, the one person we could always rely on, making him our whole world. His memory will live on in our hearts.
Tim is survived by his wife, Tammy Gentry; daughter, Brittany Gentry Phillips and her husband Laken Phillips; three Grandchildren, Jayden Phillips, Aaliyah Phillips, and Kinsley Phillips; sister, Lisa Reels and her husband, Ronnie; father, Carson Gentry; father and Mother-in-Law, Billy and LouAnn Peek; niece, Heather Rodgers; and a host of special friends.
In addition to his mother, Tim was preceded in death by his nephew, Jamie Rodgers.
Celebration of Life for Tim Gentry will be held Monday, November 25, 2024 at 4:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Ed Shaver officiating.
