Timothy Lee Gretz, 70, of Chauncey, passed away at his home on Saturday, February 8, 2025. Tim was born on October 31, 1954, in Athens, the son of the late James and Iris (Walton) Gretz.
Tim was a cook for many years and worked at Perkin’s in Athens and then moved to Ft. Pierce, Florida, where he retired from the Captain’s Galley.
Tim is survived by his brother, Marion Andrew “Ted” Gretz of Chauncey; and nieces and nephews, Chad (Susan) Gretz of Chauncey, Tim (Charla) Gretz of The Plains, and Amanda Gretz of Nelsonville.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, James Michael Gretz.
Interment will be in Hilltop Cemetery, Millfield at a later date. Arrangements are through the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St, Nelsonville. Donations can be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
