Timothy Paul Higgins, beloved husband, father, and teacher, passed away on July 24th, 2024, in Longview, Gregg County, Texas. He was born February 8th, 1948, in Murphysboro, Illinois to loving parents who instilled in him a deep sense of compassion and dedication to his family. Tim was preceded in death by his son, Brennan Noah, his parents, James and Margaret (Maier) Higgins, his brothers, James Andrew Higgins Jr., Leslie Higgins and one sister, Lorena Jean Goff.
Tim leaves behind his devoted wife, Rennie Margarette; son, Erin Patrick; daughter Tara Tephi; and two brothers, Ronald (Beth) Higgins, Michael Higgins. His passing has left an indelible void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. An educator by profession, Tim touched countless lives with his wisdom and guidance. His passion for teaching extended beyond the classroom as he imparted valuable life lessons to all those around him. He had a remarkable ability to inspire others through his words and actions. In addition to being a dedicated teacher, Tim possessed a Bachelor of Theology degree and found solace in reading about God’s teachings and principles. His faith also provided him with strength during difficult times.
One of Tim’s greatest joys was watching his grandchildren engage in sports activities – particularly baseball. The pride he felt while witnessing their achievements on the field brought immense happiness into his life. A man of great integrity and kindness, Tim will be remembered for his warm smile that could brighten even the darkest days. His legacy will live on through the memories shared by those whose lives he touched profoundly.
