Timothy Keating Obituary

Published by Legacy on Aug. 22, 2025.
"Allow the light and the healing presence of Christ to shine brightly through your lives. In that way, all those who come in contact with you will discover the loving kindness of God."

- St. Pope John Paul II

Timothy Joseph Keating was born on August 11, 1951 in Fort Worth, Texas, and entered eternal rest on August 17, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents Geoffrey Joseph and Lorraine McGee Keating, his sister, Mary Ann Keating, and his brother, Larry Keating.

Tim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. His journey on this earth was one filled with love, compassion, and faith in God. We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived.

Tim met Diana Koperski while attending Texas Christian University and they were married on December 29, 1978. They welcomed four children into the world including Brian (Sue), Stephen, Bill (Heather) and Sarah (Steve). Tim enjoyed being a father offering his advice, help, listening, and caring to all of them. He is survived by many grandchildren and enjoyed spending time reading and playing with them. He is also survived by his brother Jerry (Mary) and many nieces and nephews.

Tim was a registered nurse who provided care to many patients and family members during his lifetime. He worked in Neurology at Brackenridge Hospital for several years. Tim also worked at St. Thomas More Catholic Church doing maintenance and groundskeeping.

Tim had a thirst for knowledge. He spent a great deal of time researching topics of interest and exploring new ideas. He was an avid Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys fan. You can be sure he is watching their games in heaven with his brother Larry.

Those who knew Tim will remember him for his kindness, for his willingness to help whenever needed, and for his faith in God.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on August 28, 2025, at 10:00am at St. Thomas More Catholic Church followed immediately by inurnment. A luncheon will be held following the service at Holtman Hall. Family and friends may arrive early if desired.

Donations to honor his memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
