It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of Timothy Scott Knight who entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at the age of 61. Tim was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, & friend-whose warmth, humor, & quiet strength touched all who knew him. Tim was born on November 28,1963 in Bristol, Tennessee & was a resident of Gretna, Louisiana. He spent his life following his passions and loving deeply. He was a man who found joy in details-whether it was carefully building model airplanes, & ships, working on classic cars, or taking off on a motorcycle ride. He had a quiet way of making a big impact. Whether it was in his garage, garden, or a family gathering; he was a grounding presence- someone who listened well, spoke with intention, and made you feel at home just by being there. Tim was the loving & devoted husband of Damian Ponseti Knight, for 41 years. Son of the late Jack Knight and Virginia Knight. Loving father of Edward Knight (Chloe Knight) and Melissa Knight Clark (Todd Clark); who carry forward his spirit, humor, & values. Beloved grandfather of Daniel Clark and Sadie Clark; who were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment with them. Brother of Jay Knight (Carol) and the late Greg Knight. Beloved son-in-law of James Ponseti, Sr. and the late Gayle Ponseti. Wonderful brother-in-law to James Ponseti Jr (Patricia), Ryan English, Robyn English, Gaylyn McGlaughlin (Todd) and Erin Bush (Tom). Timothy is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews as well as his beloved canine companions whom he loved, Gumbo and Beignet. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty. His memory will live on in the stories we tell, the projects he started, and the love that he gave so freely.
