Timothy Jude Lyons, 68, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on January 27, 2026. Timothy or affectionately known as "Tim" or "Timmy" was a native and lifelong resident of Chauvin, LA, born on July 28, 1957.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Chauvin Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:30 p.m. by the Knights of Columbus. Visitation will continue Friday, February 6, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. till time of the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 12:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, LA. Interment will follow in the church cemetery after the Mass.

Tim was a proud graduate of South Terrebonne High School class of '75 and was a true servant to God. He was strong in his faith and never met a stranger, treating everyone he met like his own family. His passions outside of his family and God, were hunting, fishing, trapping and boating. His work career was truly encased in all of all of his passions, from being a Boat Captain to bringing clients fishing and hunting. Tim was a member of the Knights of Columbus council 5013 as a Third Degree Knight and was also a Fourth Degree Knight of the Assembly of Father Patrick V. Curran in Chauvin, LA

To cherish Tim's memories are his loving wife of 50 years, Merita Ann Levron Lyons, his four children; Timberly Aymond (Brady), Timothy Paul Lyons (Mandy), Justin Lyons (Katie) and Joshua Lyons (Lynette), his 11 grandchildren; Lindsay Boutte (Dr. Blaine), Abbie Lyons, Alyssa LeCompte, Gabby Lovell, Kaleb Aymond, Alaina Lyons, Logan Aymond, Alexis Lyons, Hadlee Lyons, Madison Lyons and Jared Aymond, his two great-grandsons; Grayson and Graham, his sister Paula Anne Lyons Sons, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends of his own children that he took in as his own.

Tim is reunited in Heaven with his parents, Paul and Irene LeCompte Lyons, his brother, Dale Paul Lyons, his maternal grandparents, Cleveland and Estelle LeCompte, his paternal grandparents, Paola and Ezlida Lyons, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Levest and Leona Levron, and his brother-in-law, Merville "Butch" Sons Jr.

The Lyons family would like to send a warm and heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Mani, Dr. Abben and Dr. Matherne, ACG Hospice and all the nurses at Ochsner (Chabert) Medical Center. And an extremely deep warm and heartfelt appreciation to his Godchild, Jamie Callais Grayson whom he cherished so dearly and helped him along the way with his battle.
