Timothy McDaniel (née Schomisch) died at home on July 1st, 2024, with his daughters at his side. Born in Fond du Lac, WI December 26, 1951, to Marie and Eldred Schomisch, Tim graduated from Waupun High School in 1970. He acquired a mechanic certification after serving his country in the Air Force and going on to work in a variety of industries, including as owner-operator of the Hi-Lo Inn of Waupun, WI, alongside his wife.
Tim married his beloved on May 19, 1990, raised two awesome daughters, and worked hard to provide a family life rich with adventures and warm memories. When he wasn't traveling, spoiling his grandkids, watching NASCAR, or cruising around town on his scooter, he found joy in wasting the time of would-be phone 12/scammers, chatting with his neighbors, and helping his daughters with their various home and auto projects and repairs.
Tim is preceded in death by his parents Eldred and Marie (McDaniel) Schomisch, his brother Daniel Schomisch, and his wife Kristy (Gawick) McDaniel. He leaves behind his daughters Chelsie (Chris) and Kelsey, siblings Colleen (George) Rawson, Anne (Tom) Missling, Mary (Gary) Braaksma, Brian (Dawn) Schomisch, Jean (Jim) Steinmetz, Patrick (Lori) Schomisch, grandchildren Lola, Flynn, Adelynn, Elijah and Declan, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A visitation Friday, July 12th from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at Westgor Funeral Home, 205 W Doty Ave, Neenah, WI 54956, with a service to follow at 12:30 pm. Tim will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park followed by a celebration of life (location TBD). In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
