Timothy Wayne Oliver, age 74, of Columbia City, IN, passed away at 10:31 pm on Thursday January 2, 2025, at Millers Oak Pointe, Columbia City. Born on June 29, 1950, in Fort Wayne, IN, he was the son of David and Beverly (Hutton) Oliver.
Tim attended Columbia City Joint High School and graduated with the Class of 1969. He was a 4-year member of FFA and 10 year member of 4-H.
Tim was a lifelong farmer and also worked for Essex, PPG, and Dana Corporation, prior to his retirement. He enjoyed horses, farming, tractor pulling, and watching John Wayne along with other old westerns. Tim was a member of Oak Grove Church of God, Columbia City and Indiana Belgian Draft Horse Association.
Survivors include his children Holly (Jonathan) Jernas of Knox, IN and Jason (Jennifer) Oliver of South Whitley; grandchildren Tinsley Oliver and Rya Hoch; siblings Thomas (Jackie) Oliver of Wolcottville, and Connie (Verlin) Dittmer and Danny (Jayne) Oliver, both of Columbia City; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother David Lee Oliver.
Funeral services for Timothy will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday January 9, 2025, at DeMoney Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, with calling two hours prior to service.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Columbia City.
Memorial contributions in memory of Timothy may be made to Whitley County Agricultural Museum or Stillwater Hospice.
