Timothy P Pacheco, 57, of Arlington passed away on April 25th, 2025, after a brief battle with metastatic colon cancer. He was the son of Maria A Pacheco and the late Manuel Pacheco, He is survived by his beloved wife, Kim, children Max, Bella and Cam, sister Andrea Pease and her husband Mark, brother-in-law Ron Ludvigsen and his wife Linda, his nephews Craig and Cory Pease, Chris Clarke, and nieces Jessica Nash and her husband Phil, Julia Smith and her husband Christian, Jenna Ludvigsen and his father-in-law Ron Ludvigsen.
A life-long resident of Arlington and former town employee, Tim spent many years working in HVAC and facilities in the Boston area including the Ed Burns Arena in Arlington. He was gifted mechanically and could fix anything. He was also a firefighter/emt in the town of Littleton, MA before going back to school later in life to earn his Bachelor's degree in Sports Movement from Salem State University. Kim, Max, Bella and Cam were beyond proud of him for this accomplishment. Tim worked at several area parochial schools as a physical education teacher before joining Bedford High School as a permanent substitute teacher. He truly found career happiness in his work there.
Tim spent many years on the various sports fields and in ice rinks in the surrounding area either playing or coaching. His true joy came from watching Max, Bella and Cam's baseball, soccer, and hockey games. He was their biggest fan, and everyone knew it even the refs.
Tim was an avid sports fan watching or going to as many Red Sox and Bruins' games as the season would allow. He had an array of sports t-shirts and memorabilia that could rival some museum collections. If you knew Tim, you also knew how much he loved the DropKick Murphy's. He hadn't missed a show until this year, but he was able to watch the live stream where he sang along.
His happiest place on earth was on Swifts Neck beach in Wareham. From a young age, he spent countless hours sitting on the beach, fishing, jet skiing and enjoying the water. Some days his family thought he was the mayor of Swifts given his gift for talking to everyone on his walks. The beach just won't be the same without Tim, but we know he will be there in spirit.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His quick wit and seemingly endless knowledge of what was going on in the town will be missed by many especially by those who relied on Tim to share all the tea that they couldn't.
We would like to thank the amazing team at Dana Farber and Brigham and Women's hospital for the care and compassion they had for Tim and our family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to The Claddah Fund or Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Please get your colonoscopies and check-ups. Those can make all the difference.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Wednesday April 30th, 2025 from 4-7 pm. Tim's funeral mass will be held on Thursday May 1, 2025 at Saint Camillus' Church at 11:30 am. Burial will be private.
