Daniel E. Sheehan ObituaryIt is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel E. Sheehan, age 68, of Malden, formerly of Cambridge, MA, on August 15th, 2025.
Daniel was the son of the late Edward J. Sheehan and Mathilde Sheehan, Loving brother to Rainer "Ron" Sheehan and his wife, Laura, Johnny Sheehan, Christine Sheehan, the late Klaus Zieba, Jurek (Dick) Zieba, Edith Zieba, and Mikey Sheehan.
Daniel was a devoted husband to the love of his life, Carol (Strong) "Aggie" Sheehan, and cherished father to their son, Daniel Sheehan, whom he loved deeply. Special brother-in-law to Pauline Zieba and Jane Radzvin. Daniel leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, great niece and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, as well as many cousins, friends, and "special-friends" that became family.
Daniel enjoyed reading the newspaper, watching sports, and most importantly, spending time with his family. He loved kids, and they loved him. The highlight of the day for many kids in the neighborhood was lining up for their turn at climbing his long legs to do a flip and playing in the back of his work pickup truck.
Daniel had a lifelong career with Cambridge Housing Authority as a carpenter, but his skills went far beyond carpentry. Daniel could "fix" anything and was always willing to help anyone, without expecting anything in return.
Daniel was special to many; for us, he was the rock that held the "Farkle's" together. Our family will miss him immensely.
Daniel's funeral mass will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, 39 Sixth St., Cambridge, on Saturday, September 6th at 10:30 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours have been omitted. Interment will be private.
