Raymond D. Sheehan, 97, of Sayre, PA, passed away peacefully with his son by his side Friday, August 15, 2025, at his home in Sayre.

He was born on October 7,1927, in Sioux City, IA, the son of the late Raymond J. and Ruth (Riddle) Sheehan.

Raymond was a Proud Navy Veteran serving during WWII in Shang Hi. While on his tour in the Pacific, he turned 18 years old. He was one of Bradford County's last WWII survivors. He worked at Ingersoll Rand in Athens from 1967 until his retirement.

He loved reading WWII books and he loved reminiscing to his family and friends about his time in the war, including his experiences and all the people he served with. He was an exceptional father to 4 children, 3 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. He loved spending time with them and he loved them all dearly.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife; Helen (Clark) Sheehan and his brother; Jerry Sheehan.

Raymond will be missed every day by his son and daughter-in-law; Brad and Esther Blanchard, daughter; Marjorie Koziol, sons; Raymond K. Sheehan and Jerry Sheehan, granddaughter and her husband; Kara and Jerry Moran, granddaughter; Lisa Madish, and grandson; Adam Stoudt, his loving great-grandchildren; Gavin Moran, Megan Moran, and Zoe Madish, and his nephew Kyle Sheehan and his niece Sandy Sheehan.

The family wishes to say a special thanks to Guthrie Hospice for all of their support.

A private graveside service will be held for the family at their convenience. The family is being cared for by Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.

Burial will be in Bradford County Memorial Park, Towanda, PA.
